Day 1: Kodaikanal Valley Tour
After your arrival at Kodaikanal Bus Stand, we’ll pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation. Once you’ve checked in and freshened up, we begin the Valley Tour — a full circuit of Kodaikanal’s most celebrated viewpoints and forest attractions.

Upper Lake View
Our first stop offers a sweeping panoramic view of Kodaikanal Lake from above — one of the best spots in town for early-morning photography. The mist over the lake in the morning makes this a standout moment of Day 1.
Rose Garden
A 12-acre garden maintained by the Tamil Nadu Department of Horticulture, the Rose Garden is home to over 1,500 varieties of roses and is the largest rose garden in Tamil Nadu. Entry is Rs 30 for adults and Rs 15 for children. Best visited between March–May when the roses are in peak bloom.
Moir Point
Moir Point is a scenic cliff-top viewpoint offering broad views of the surrounding valleys and forested hills. It’s a calm, unhurried stop — ideal for a short walk and some photography before heading deeper into the forest circuit.
Guna Caves
One of Kodaikanal’s most dramatic natural attractions, Guna Caves (also known as Devil’s Kitchen) is a series of deep caverns formed between three enormous granite boulders. Entry is regulated by the forest department; exercise extra caution during and after the monsoon season when paths can be slippery.
Pine Forest
The tall, evenly spaced Pine Forest near the forest road creates a dramatic corridor of light and shadow that photographers love — several Tamil and Bollywood films have been shot here. A peaceful 20-minute walk through the grove is well worth it.
Pillar Rocks
Pillar Rocks is one of Kodaikanal’s signature viewpoints — three towering granite pillars rising vertically to about 122 metres, surrounded by shola forest. There are small shops and a park nearby for a short break. Arrive before 10 AM for the clearest views before clouds roll in.
Green Valley View (Suicide Point)
A sheer drop of approximately 6,000 feet into the valley below makes this one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the Palani Hills. Shops and stalls line the approach road. The views on a clear morning stretch all the way to the plains.
Golf Course
The Kodaikanal Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in South India. Tourists are not permitted inside the course, but the exterior and surrounding landscape are worth a brief stop and a few photographs.
Coaker’s Walk, Bryant Park & Kodaikanal Lake
We drop you at Coaker’s Walk — a 1-km cliff-top pedestrian promenade with sweeping valley views — from where you can walk to Bryant Park (8 acres of botanical gardens and roses) and then down to Kodaikanal Lake for a lakeside stroll or a pedal boat ride. Call us when you’re ready to be picked up and returned to your room.
💡 Day 1 Tip: Carry a light jacket and sunscreen — the forest circuit alternates between cool shade and open sun. Start by 9 AM to beat midday crowds at Pillar Rocks and Green Valley View.
Day 2: Mannavanur & Poombarai Village Tour
After checkout, we pick you up from the hotel and head into the lesser-explored village circuit south of Kodaikanal — a beautiful half-day drive through agricultural hamlets, temple towns, and lakeside landscapes that most short-stay visitors miss entirely.

Mahalakshimi Temple
A serene hilltop temple dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshimi, set against a forested backdrop. A peaceful start to Day 2 before the road winds into the valley.
Gundar Waterfalls
A lovely waterfall tucked into the Palani Hills, at its most dramatic between October and December after the monsoon rains. The access path involves a short walk through greenery — comfortable footwear recommended.
Palani View
A panoramic viewpoint with clear sightlines toward the sacred Palani hills and Murugan Temple — one of the most photographed spots on the village circuit for its scale and clarity on bright mornings.
Poombarai Village
Poombarai is one of the most picturesque villages in the Palani Hills — a terraced agricultural settlement growing garlic, vegetables, and flowers on steep hillsides. The village viewpoint gives a striking bird’s-eye perspective of the stepped farmlands below.
Kulanthi Vellappar Temple
A local Palani Hills temple with traditional architecture and a quiet, devotional atmosphere. A short visit here gives a genuine glimpse into the local hill-community culture.
Mannavanur Lake & Sheep Farm
Mannavanur Lake is a quiet, government-maintained reservoir surrounded by eucalyptus forests — far less crowded than Kodaikanal Lake and often called the hidden gem of the Palani Hills. Adjacent to the lake is a sheep and rabbit farm run by the government, popular with families and children. The entire area is excellent for nature walks and landscape photography.
After the Mannavanur circuit, we drop you at Kodaikanal Bus Stand or near Kodaikanal Lake — whichever you prefer.
💡 Day 2 Tip: This route involves winding ghat roads. If any member of your group is prone to motion sickness, take the necessary precautions before departure.
