After traveling a short distance in the Kodaikanal forest, you will see a split in the road leading to Poombarai village. Take that road. After traveling about 8 to 9 km, you will see the Palani Temple view.
Palani Temple View 🔭
The Palani temple view is one of the tourist attractions located near Poombarai village. When you travel to Mannavanur Lake, you can visit this viewpoint. From this place, you can view the Palani temple and the beautiful valley. If mist covers the area, you may not be able to see the temple. This viewpoint is near Poombarai. There is a small shop at this location where you can buy tea, coffee, and snacks. You can spend 15 to 30 minutes at this viewpoint. It’s a nice place to take photos with your loved ones.

Arulmigu Kuzhanthai Velappar Kovil is a famous temple in this village. Moreover, this temple also has three thousands years of history and was consecrated by Bhogar. Additionally, the Lord Murgan idol in this temple made of Navapashanam.
During every year Festival happens in this temple after Thaipoosam. People believe that idol made by Bhogar after Palani temple idol. This temple was built by the King of Chera dynasty during their ruling in this Hills. Must visit places in Poombarai.

Evening: Visit Green valley view, Liril falls and Finally Relax at Kodai lake
Green Valley View 🔭

Green valleys covered with pine trees stretch out as far as you can see, with charming villages and sparkling lakes. In the distance, the Vaigai Dam adds a touch of greatness to the scene.
The tall rocks around the viewpoint have been there for a very long time, and you can almost hear their stories in the wind. The old name, Suicide Point, tells a sad part of the area’s history. But now, safety measures are in place to make sure everyone can enjoy the view safely.
Look out for the playful monkeys that live there! They’re used to visitors and might try to grab a snack, so be careful. Even though they add some excitement, it’s important to be respectful and not feed them.
